Job Role:
The role provides a varied and interesting environment managing projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with our clients you will review technical information, P&ID's to prepare a technical and commercial proposal to present to the client. On award of contract, you will act as the focal point for our client in preparation of detailed technical procedures, drawings, method statements, risk assessments. Supported by our specialist teams and equipment you will be responsible for organising and leading the execution of the works on the client site. This combination of technical and commercial challenges along with the mix of office and site works provides an exciting and varied range of challenges making it an interesting and varied role. Project works are undertaken at client sites, typically refinery and petrochemical. This is largely in the UK with some international travel to Europe and the Middle East. On site project execution is typically 10-15 days and working away from home including weekends is a requirement for this period.
Main Responsibilities and Skills:
- Dealing with clients in technical and commercial discussions in a professional manner
- Preparation and H&S documents
- Interpreting technical information and P&ID's provided by the client and understanding of their requirements
- Preparation of detailed technical procedures (training in our services will be provided)
- Organisation skills and attention to detail are a key requirement
- Site execution requires good practical skills and can be physically demanding
- Working closely with a team to achieve the safe completion of the works
- Flexibility to work away from home and weekends for project work (additional remuneration given)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
We are open to candidates with experience in Industrial Services, contracting on TAR's in Oil and Gas, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or water treatment industries. A background in these fields and/or a degree in Chemical Engineering or similar will be highly beneficial, alongside a strong understanding of technical project management and site operations.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid safety passport, CCNSG Supervisor Card (or Equivalent), IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH (preferred)
- Current valid driving licence
- Pass full medical and substance abuse test (Drugs and Alcohol test are undertaken pre-employment and at random times)
