Position: Network Test Engineer

Employment Type: 6 months to start with

Work Mode: Hybrid Model (Weekly 3 days at Office)

SC Eligible: Yes

Overview:

The Test Analyst role has to be based in the UK, and can start to gain SC clearance or has SC clearance already. The role is to support a Programme in the transition & transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Any experience of working on National Grid would be advantageous but not essential.

Duration: Expected full-time but due to the fluidity there may be some small breaks (unlikely but just as a safety net) so need flexibility to pause the resource effort but will be given notice as much in advance.

Remote/Site/Hybrid: Hybrid but with occasional customer site visits required and also Newbury HQ to liaise with the wider Test team.

Location/s to be visited if applicable: Farnborough, Bath, Oxford, Warwick, Birmingham

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliverables – required for SoW and to measure fulfilment of role.
  • Test Analyst skills
  • Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls)
  • Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance
  • Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements
  • Collect Test execution evidence, Reporting execution / defect in ALM
