About the Role

  • Act as the SD-WAN technical authority within the team
  • Provide expert guidance on WAN/LAN design, routing (BGP/OSPF), segmentation (VRFs), and risk analysis
  • Lead change governance, CAB support, and configuration hygiene (drift, templates, upgrades)
  • Enhance visibility using Cisco vManage dashboards & APIs
  • Support complex troubleshooting and mentor 3rd Line engineers
  • Drive best practices across security, QoS, and automation
  • Collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure seamless integration across WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and Security domains
  • Lead and support medium to complex WAN/LAN changes, routing and design decisions (underlay/overlay, VRFs, segmentation)
  • Provide risk assessment and impact analysis for proposed changes

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (vManage, vBond, vSmart)
  • Proven experience as a technical/design authority in the recent role, not purely implementation or delivery-focused work.
  • Experience in governance-heavy environments within regulated, CNI, government, or financial-services environments.
  • Top Security Clearance is a strong advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VRFs, AAR, QoS, and security services
  • Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills
  • Ability to mentor and guide 3rd Line engineers.
