3 month requirement for managed resource. Request for an individual with Financial / FinOps practitioner experience / Business Analyst background to drive the capture of requirements so we can investigate the correct technology. Centrica currently have a solution in ServiceNow - Proven Optics to support cost modelling – need support to realise the benefit. Want to look at IT costs and apportion per business unit as a high level summary; however, full scope will be confirmed with the relevant owner.
Responsibilities
- Lead the capture, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements related to IT financial management and FinOps capabilities.
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to understand current cost structures, financial processes, and reporting needs.
- Support the evaluation of appropriate technology solutions to meet FinOps and IT cost transparency requirements.
- Assess and help realise the benefits of the existing ServiceNow Proven Optics solution, including identifying gaps, improvement opportunities, and optimisation areas.
- Analyse IT costs and develop high-level cost allocation and apportionment models across business units.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to validate requirements, assumptions, and proposed approaches.
- Translate financial and technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements for technical and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with solution architects and platform teams to ensure requirements are feasible, aligned with ServiceNow capabilities, and fit for purpose.
- Produce clear documentation, including requirement specifications, process flows, cost models, and summary reports for stakeholders.
- Support decision-making by providing insights, options, and recommendations based on financial analysis and business priorities.
- Work with the relevant owners to confirm and refine the full scope as it evolves.
