At PRODA (www.proda.ai) we are building software to unlock the full potential of Real Estate Data no matter the asset class, language or country of origin.
Our solution leverages the latest technologies to automatically capture, standardise and quality check Real Estate data into a single, clean source of truth. The goal is to empower real estate professionals to quickly gain actionable insights from your data and to enable the effective use of software.
Despite being the biggest asset class in the world, the commercial real estate industry relies on excel & PDF “Rent Roll” documents as the primary means of exchanging data. These files are frequently inconsistent, inaccurate, and inaccessible, posing challenges for real estate professionals. Through automated data capture, standardisation, and analysis, PRODA can:
- Build repositories of clean, standardised data
- Increase process efficiency, through faster report generation
- Improve data-driven decision making, by ensuring the accuracy of input data
Furthermore, PRODA easily integrates with existing systems, to ensure consistent dataflow through the whole organisation.
Founded in 2017 by Charles and Peter, two former Real Estate Finance Investment professionals, PRODA is now 70 people strong, and is looking to expand further in 2026.
PRODA has a strong globally recognised client base with an even better sales pipeline. We are looking for you to join us on our exciting journey delivering best-in-class software to the Commercial Real Estate market globally.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer who wants to own meaningful product problems from idea through to production.
What you’ll work on
- AI-powered data extraction — turning complex real-estate documents and spreadsheets into structured data.
- Data standardisation — automatically mapping inconsistent customer data into a common schema.
- Human-in-the-loop workflows — building interfaces that let users understand, review and correct what our systems have done.
- AI-native product features — exploring how LLMs, agents and MCP can make working with real-estate data dramatically easier.
- Customer integrations and APIs — getting clean, validated data into the systems our customers already use.
This isn't a role where somebody hands you perfectly specified tickets.
You'll work with product, engineers, Customer Success and occasionally customers themselves to understand a problem, shape a solution, build it, ship it and see whether it worked.
What we’re looking for
You’re likely to have a few years of professional software-engineering experience and be comfortable delivering features independently.
We care more about your ability to learn and ship than whether you’ve used our exact stack.
- Take ownership of features from initial problem through to production.
- Break ambiguous problems into practical pieces of work.
- Write maintainable, well-tested software.
- Be comfortable working across backend, data and occasionally frontend code.
- Debug unfamiliar systems rather than staying inside one narrow area.
- Communicate clearly with engineers and non-engineers.
- Use modern AI development tools effectively rather than treating them as an autocomplete.
- Have strong opinions and be willing to challenge how things are currently built.
Experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, SQL, cloud infrastructure or data-intensive systems would be particularly useful, but none is an absolute requirement.
How we build
PRODA has a mature product that processes large volumes of real-world customer data, but we’re still small enough that individual engineers can have a disproportionate impact.
We’re actively modernising the platform: simplifying systems, adopting strong open-source tools instead of unnecessarily building everything ourselves, and using AI throughout both our product and our engineering workflow.
You should enjoy that environment: established enough to have hard production problems, but still changing quickly enough that you can influence how we solve them.
What good looks like
Within your first few months, we’d expect you to be able to take a real customer or product problem, understand it, propose an approach and deliver the solution with limited supervision.
Over time, you’ll own larger parts of the product and help shape both our technical architecture and how the team works.
Why PRODA?
Commercial real estate is one of the world’s largest asset classes, but much of its critical data infrastructure is still surprisingly manual.
That gives us interesting engineering problems: messy data, complex schemas, document understanding, validation, large-scale processing and increasingly AI-driven workflows.
If you want to work in a small team where AI is part of the actual product and engineering workflow—not a slide in the company strategy deck,we’d like to hear from you.
