ProcureOne are currently partnering an organisation to help them recruit a new Senior Category Manager. The role will take a lead across a range of indirect category areas but will have a focus on Event Services and Hospitality. This is an exciting opportunity to develop collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders through positivity and teamwork.

Your role will include:

  • Working in a friendly and established team you will identify and deliver sourcing opportunities within the Categories through insight and continuous analysis.
  • As a true subject matter expert, you will support new innovation.
  • Lead on business critical complex commercial contract negotiations.
  • Run the end to end Procurement Cycle including the preparation of pretender, tender documents, tender execution and contract award and subsequent contract management.
  • Generate fact based insights through analysis using tools and techniques to provide strategic direction, including competency using excel.
  • Negotiate with suppliers ensuring the necessary risks are managed in line with overall business needs.
  • Influence and drive behavioural change both internally and throughout the Supply Chain.
  • Build robust stakeholder relationships with C Suite and Senior Managers and act as trusted advisor to support business objectives.
  • You will have direct line management responsibility (team of 2) and will enjoy coaching and developing team members.
  • You will be an excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills.
  • You will be self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.

This role will suit CIPS qualified (ideally MCIPS) procurement professionals with proven Indirect Category experience (ideally with Events / Hospitality experience). You will be required to be in the office 3 days per week (London/Southern Home Counties). Our Client is offering a competitive salary in the region of £75k - £85k plus benefits (DOE). Applicants must be based in the UK, commutable from London and have UK right to work.
