ProcureOne are managing an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Specialist for an organisation often ranked in the top 5 in the ‘Best Big Company to Work For’ poll. As Procurement Category Specialist within the Directs Procurement team you will deliver a high quality, timely and value‑adding service across the category, building upon strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and contractors alike.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the development and delivery of the Direct Materials category management strategy
- Managing specific category portfolio, including developing the category sourcing strategy, the selection of suppliers and contractual terms best suited to the category
- Maximising the value, measured through a range of indicators, from contractual arrangements utilising the effective development of contract strategies, contract development and lifecycle management, updating and informing on contract information as appropriate
- Pro‑actively identifying, implementing, and securing saving opportunities
- Taking responsibility for managing innovation and knowledge management for the Direct Materials category portfolio
Suitable applicants will have the right behavioural skills in order to build first class stakeholder relationships.
