Procurement Heads’ Industrial team is working with an exceptional, well-respected and rapidly growing organisation which is leading the way in impressive life enhancing technology. They are further expanding their Direct Procurement team and looking for an additional Buyer.

The Category Buyer will join an impressive, high performing and passionate procurement team in the management of high-impact commodities.
You will focus on building relationships with and working closely with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure value and availability of the right commodities for manufacturing.
This dynamic role involves developing and executing procurement strategies across diverse commodity categories.
Hybrid working 3 days in office. Based in beautiful, modern offices in the Headington district of Oxfordshire.
As Category Buyer you will be responsible for;

Working with a broad range of stakeholders, from engineers to scientists, helping to guide them through procurement processes.

Oversee procurement processes, including contract management and RFI/RFQ, ensuring the best value without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.

Track market trends and product availability.

Manage supplier relationships, focusing on risk, quality, service, and cost performance.

Research and evaluate new suppliers and products.

Assess total cost of ownership for the supplier portfolio.

Collaborate with the supply chain team to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business needs.

Lead supplier development and performance reviews.

Manage ERP systems and provide database reporting.

Ensure supplier compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
