Procurement People are working with a leading utilities business who are looking for a Procurement Manager. The role will support the end-to-end delivery of procurement activity across a range of goods and services specific to the IT Category. Working closely with the Category Manager, they will help to shape and implement category strategies, run compliant tendering processes and manage supplier negotiations to ensure value for money. This is a varied and collaborative role that will see them working across the business to understand needs, influence specifications and ensure strong commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a point of contact for procurement guidance and best practice
- Delivering compliant procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, renewals and negotiations
- Supporting the development of category strategies across key spend areas
- Influencing stakeholders across the business to deliver best-value outcomes
- Helping to ensure that all procurement activity meets internal controls and legal requirements
Qualifications / Candidates should have
- Experience in managing tenders and procurement activity in a regulated or complex organisation
- A strong grasp of procurement regulations and compliance
- Confidence in engaging and influencing internal stakeholders
- Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards it
- A full UK driving licence

The role can be based across multiple locations in the North West. The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week on site.
Package: Salary circa £51,000 + Car Allowance + Generous Pension + 26 Days Holidays & Bank Holidays + Professional Development and Training Support
