We are representing a leading provider of infrastructure services that transforms the nation’s critical assets to operate safely and sustainably. With a workforce of over 11,000, they provide a full spectrum of engineering and construction services across the energy and nuclear sectors.
The Role: As a Contract Manager, you will be a key figure in the supply chain function, managing compensation events, maintaining robust contract records, and ensuring strict compliance with project governance. Supporting the wider commercial team on a landmark nuclear programme, you will ensure that cost records and contractual documentation are accurately controlled throughout the delivery phase.
- NEC3 Administration: Lead the administration of NEC3 contracts from award through to final close-out.
- Compensation Events: Manage the end-to-end process, including the assessment and negotiation of quotations.
- Cost Analysis: Apply strong Quantity Surveying (QS) skills to validate assumptions, quantities, and rates within supplier submissions.
- Baseline Management: Develop and maintain cost baselines to support the evaluation of change and variations.
- Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance against contractual obligations, including cost, safety, and quality.
- Risk & Governance: Identify and escalate contract risks while maintaining audit-ready records and correspondence.
What We’re Looking For: A strong commercial background within major infrastructure, engineering, or nuclear projects. Demonstrated experience in administering NEC contracts and managing complex compensation events. Robust Quantity Surveying skills, including cost analysis, valuation, and change management. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Engineering. Membership of RICS (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to benchmark costs against market norms.
