Supply Chain Manager Supply Chain Manager required for world leading defence company Procurement Heads Industrial team is working with a world leader in their area of defence engineering. On an impressive trajectory, they are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain Manager will play an important role in providing strategy and efficiency to the materials flow in relation to exciting high tech engineering projects. This stable and progressive company offers the chance for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to work on ground-breaking projects and enjoy a truly flexible working pattern Key Responsibilities and Duties: * Creating and implementing comprehensive plans for material programs and subcontract management in collaboration with procurement teams. * Translating strategic concepts into actionable plans to meet program goals. * Developing and managing material sourcing strategies. * Coordinating with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to establish project schedules using Material Requirements Planning (MRP). * Leading planning tasks related to proposals, including defining deliverables and creating cost estimates. * Collaborating with engineering to produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) promptly during proposal phases, ensuring changes are effectively tracked and communicated. * Preparing precise material cost estimates and optimising procurement strategies. * Partnering with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges, including obsolescence and long lead items, to maintain project timelines. * Applying material strategies to proposals and managing cost performance against expectations. * Making informed decisions regarding make-or-buy processes. * Engaging with supply chain stakeholders to support operational requirements. * Monitoring and improving performance metrics while addressing emerging issues proactively. * Applying financial management techniques such as material forecasting, and cost analysis. Key Background and Experience: * Strong Planning experience * Experience with the Subcontractors * Experience in electronics/aerospace hardware applications * Knowledge of operational and manufacturing processes (assembly, integration, and test * Ideally degree level qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or in a related field, or equivalent work experience * Ability to obtain SC Benefits: * Up to £75,000 salary * Hybrid working- 2 days a week High Wycombe / Greenford * Early Friday finish * Option for 9 day fortnight * Private health options
