We’re seeking a Supply Planning Specialist to join a high-performing planning team in a role that combines supply planning, production scheduling and New Product Introduction (NPI) project leadership. This is not a traditional planning position where you’re hidden behind spreadsheets and MRP reports. Instead, you’ll become a key interface between Engineering, Production, Operations and senior leadership, helping bring complex new products from concept through to manufacture whilst ensuring delivery commitments are met across a global customer base.Role of the Supply Planning Specialist Reporting into the Supply Planning Manager, you’ll take ownership of both ongoing supply planning activities and NPI programmes across a highly complex manufacturing environment. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Commercial and Operations teams, you’ll be responsible for building robust supply plans, managing capacity requirements, coordinating manufacturing schedules and driving projects forward to ensure successful delivery. You’ll have genuine visibility across the organisation, working from shop floor level through to senior leadership whilst influencing critical business decisions. Key responsibilities include: Leading NPI and NPD programmes from a supply planning perspectiveManaging MRP-driven supply and production planning activitiesCreating and maintaining production schedules and capacity plansCoordinating engineering changes and programme requirementsSupporting multiple international assembly and commercial operationsEnsuring component availability and supply continuityWorking cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations teamsChallenging stakeholders and driving accountability to meet project milestonesIdentifying and mitigating supply or capacity risks before they impact deliveryActing as a key link between planning, production, engineering and leadership teamsIdeal Supply Planning Specialist We’re looking for an individual who combines strong planning expertise with the confidence, influence and ownership mindset required to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment.
