Procurement Heads is hiring for an Indirect Buyer in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment where precision, speed, and excellence are non-negotiable. This role is based in North Oxfordshire with hybrid working (1 day from home). Salary up to c£50,000.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing and category management projects across indirect spend areas
  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms with suppliers
  • Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver cost savings
  • Ensure compliance with internal purchasing rules and procedures
  • Monitor service contracts and supplier adherence to specifications
  • Assist stakeholders with ad hoc but imperative procurement requests

The ideal candidate

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally in a fast-paced technical or manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Someone driven to play a part in something exceptional
