Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement / Procurement Director to join the business and create, implement and embed a strategic procurement organisation. Reporting into the Finance leadership, this high-profile role involves creating the foundations of a greenfield purchasing organisation and then developing and implementing the pathway to strategic procurement across international markets. This role will be responsible fordeveloping and executing category strategies, ensuring supplier performance, and delivering commercial value while reviewing and recommending the governance, framework and procurement policies for all markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, develop and implement a high-impact, strategic procurement organisation – ensuring clear vision, accountability, policies and procedures
- Build great relationships with clients, stakeholders and the internal team,collaborating to help identify future opportunities for value creation
- Establish best-in-classcategory management processes and governance, ensuring alignment with the wider procurement and business strategy
- Identify and execute short-term cost savings, assess and develop the digitalisation opportunity for the short-medium and long term horizons.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have proven track record of hands-on, operational and strategic procurement development; previous experience setting up procurement from scratch, have strong expertise incategory strategy development, supplier negotiations, and contract management and have excellentcommercial acumen.
In addition, strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability toinfluence and alignacross multiple business functions; have solid experience inhigh growth/post-acquisition and PE/VC environments.
