Procurement Heads are excited to be working with a major European snack company who are looking for a Category Manager to manage CAPEX and MRO categories across their UK sites. You will lead supplier negotiations, support engineering teams, develop category strategies, and ensure cost-effective procurement across multiple countries.
Location: Slough/Nottingham/Leicestershire/Middlesbrough/South Yorkshire/Herefordshire/Leicestershire/Wakefield/Tanfield/East Staffordshire - Hybrid 3 days a week
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement CAPEX & MRO procurement strategies
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts
- Support project execution (e.g., installations, FAT/SAT phases)
- Collaborate with EU procurement and Engineering teams
- Analyse complex data for decision-making and savings tracking
- Ensure compliance, sustainability, and supply security
- Degree in Engineering or related field (CIPS preferred)
- 4+ years in procurement, ideally within engineering
- Experience in contract management, CAPEX projects, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong Excel/Word skills; valid driving license
