Procurement Heads are excited to be working with a major European snack company who are looking for a Category Manager to manage CAPEX and MRO categories across their UK sites. You'll lead supplier negotiations, support engineering teams, develop category strategies, and ensure cost-effective procurement across multiple countries. Location - Slough/Nottingham/Leicestershire/Middlesbrough/South Yorkshire/Herefordshire/Leicestershire/Wakefield/Tanfield/East Staffordshire - Hybrid 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement CAPEX & MRO procurement strategies
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts
  • Support project execution (e.g., installations, FAT/SAT phases)
  • Collaborate with EU procurement and Engineering teams
  • Analyse complex data for decision-making and savings tracking
  • Ensure compliance, sustainability, and supply security

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or related field (CIPS preferred)
  • 4+ years in procurement, ideally within engineering
  • Experience in contract management, CAPEX projects, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong Excel/Word skills; valid driving license
