Job Overview
We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated Support Worker to provide care and support to a 30‑year‑old non‑verbal gentleman with Autism and epilepsy. The role focuses on improving the individual’s quality of life, promoting independence, and ensuring overall well‑being. The successful candidate will offer companionship, facilitate community engagement, and support participation in interests such as Mr. Bean, Marvel, Harry Potter, Scooby‑Doo and Looney Tunes, as well as travel activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support tailored to the individual’s needs.
- Assist with daily activities, mobility and safe driving when appropriate.
- Promote independence and employ evidence‑based approaches to support autism and epilepsy management.
- Encourage participation in community and recreational activities.
- Monitor health and safety, report changes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with people with Autism and epilepsy.
- Compassionate, patient and reliable communication skills.
- Live with the person for 12‑hour shifts with flexible shift times.
