Team Leader – Autism & Complex Needs Sudbury, Suffolk

A New and Exciting Opportunity in Sudbury
This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new service from the ground up, combining hands-on support with leadership and coordination responsibilities to ensure safe, consistent, and person-centred care delivery.
Key Responsibilities of the Team Leader
- Provide strong, visible leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, consistent, high-quality support
- Coordinate staff rotas, manage shift coverage, and oversee daily handovers
- Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and ongoing mentoring of staff
- Support the induction and training of new team members, ensuring understanding of PBS strategies and person-centred principles
- Monitor and review support plans, risk assessments, and daily documentation
- Work closely with the Registered Manager and PBS Lead to identify improvements and maintain compliance with CQC standards
- Model professional conduct and respectful interactions, promoting a positive and inclusive culture
- Lead by example through active participation in day-to-day support, fostering trust, safety, and structure for “I”
- Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and dignity at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading in a care or support settings
- Understanding of Autism, ADHD, or complex behavioural needs
- Confident communicator and calm under pressure
- Positive role model with excellent teamwork and organisation skills
- Full UK driving licence required
