We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Team Leader to join our Skipton team. This full-time role combines 20 hours per week undertaking Team Leader responsibilities and 20 hours per week delivering direct care and support to clients across Skipton and the surrounding areas. You will play a key role in supporting and developing care staff, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring our clients receive safe, effective, and person-centred support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example while remaining actively involved in care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of Care Assistants.
  • Conduct inductions, supervisions, competency assessments, and spot checks.
  • Deliver and coordinate mandatory training and refresher sessions.
  • Identify staff development needs and support career progression.
  • Monitor care quality and ensure care plans, risk assessments, and medication records are up to date.
  • Support the Registered Manager and Assistant Manager with quality assurance activities.
  • Promote safeguarding, dignity, independence, and person-centred care.
  • Respond professionally to service user, family, and staff concerns.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.
  • Deliver hands-on care and practical support when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within domiciliary or home care services.
  • Experience in a Senior Carer, Team Leader, Care Coordinator, or similar supervisory role.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting care staff.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, medication management, and CQC requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK.
