An Exciting New Opportunity in Sprowston

We are developing a bespoke property for a young man, “C”, in the Sprowston area of Norwich, and we’re recruiting a dedicated support team to help him transition from his family home into independent living. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new, specialist team from the very beginning—helping to build a stable, consistent environment around an amazing individual with great potential for personal growth.

About the person you will support “C”

C is a bright, active young man who enjoys routine, structure, and community activities such as swimming, visiting the park, and getting involved locally. He thrives when supported by calm, consistent staff who can identify and manage triggers early using positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies. C may use behaviours that challenge, often to gain access to preferred activities or when something doesn’t work as expected. He benefits from staff who can stay patient, proactive, and positive, providing reassurance and structure. Support also includes helping with daily routines and personal care. C doesn't sleep at night very well; he benefits from staff that can take steps to help him relax and decompress.

Your Role

As part of a 3:1 support team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building a trusting, respectful relationship with C
  • Support daily routines, personal care, and community engagement
  • Encourage interests and introduce new activities
  • Work with colleagues and PBS Leads to reduce behaviours of concern
  • Promote C’s independence through consistent, person-centred support

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in care/support roles, ideally with complex needs or challenging behaviour
  • Calm, resilient, and patient approach
  • Team player who values consistency and structure
  • Full UK driving licence (C has his own vehicle – one driver per shift required)
  • C has his own vehicle, and every shift requires at least one driver (We can consider some non-drivers, especially for night shifts, but availability is limited)

Shift Patterns:

  • Day: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM - ÂŁ14.00 ph
  • Waking Nights: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM - ÂŁ14.50 ph

What We Offer

  • Bespoke, person-specific training (including PBS)
  • Paid DBS
  • Career progression and internal development
  • Supportive supervision and mentoring
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and staff discounts
  • ÂŁ500 Refer-a-Friend bonus
  • Work for an Outstanding-rated provider making a real difference every day
