Male Support Worker – Make a Real Difference Every Day

Location: Rastrick & Cleveleys (near Blackpool)
Pay: £14.25 per hour + £80 sleep-in rate

About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated male support worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to J, a vibrant 32-year-old with a learning disability, neuronal migration disorder, left-sided hemiplegia, epilepsy and is visually impaired. J can also display behaviours of concern at times, so a calm, patient approach is essential.

This is more than just a job, it’s an opportunity to build a genuine connection and support J to live life to the fullest, on his terms.

J has a fantastic sense of fun and enjoys an active, social lifestyle. You might find yourself:

  • Singing your heart out on car journeys
  • Spending time at the family holiday home in Cleveleys
  • Visiting the pub, playing in arcades or enjoying a BBQ
  • Relaxing in the hot tub !
  • Competing in bowling, swimming, or crazy golf (he’s good—be warned!)
  • Supporting him to maintain his style with regular trips to the barbers

Your Responsibilities

  • Delivering personalised, person-centred care and support
  • Promoting independence and enhancing quality of life
  • Supporting with daily routines, including personal care and moving & handling
  • Managing health needs, including epilepsy
  • Responding calmly to behaviours of concern
  • Working as part of a supportive, dedicated team

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in care or a similar role (preferred)
  • Understanding of complex needs (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
