CJP Outreach Services are expanding our teams and are seeking dedicated Bank Support Workers in South Gloucestershire and the surrounding north Bristol area. This role involves supporting individuals across our outreach services, supported living settings, and within the homes of the people we support. This is a highly rewarding position where you will assist individuals both in their homes and in the community.
A full, clean driving license is advantageous for this role as you will be expected to drive, either your own car or a mobility vehicle.
Shift Times: Will vary. Support is delivered on a 24/7 basis, with staffing ratios of 2:1 or 1:1. You will work covering 12-hour or 15-hour shifts, including weekends. The role may also involve sleep-in duties.
Salary: £16.50 per hour, £80 sleep in rate.
About the Role: The successful candidate will play a key role in providing support, companionship, promoting community involvement, and encouraging independence. A good understanding of trauma-informed care, learning disabilities, and autism is essential. You will be supporting a range of different people, many of whom have experienced early life trauma and have a learning disability and/or are on the autism spectrum. Many of the people we support have communication difficulties and engage in behaviours of concern. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. You will be part of a dynamic and resilient team that values diversity, promotes inclusion, and fosters a positive and supportive working environment.
About You: We are looking for someone who is patient, reliable, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting people to live full and active lives. Ideally, you will have experience in supported living, residential care, or community-based support settings. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be advantageous. Full training is provided, including a two-week programme with a minimum of 72 hours of shadowing shifts, followed by ongoing supervision and development.
