CJP Outreach Services is currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee a care package in Bristol BS32. For this role, it is essential that you have experience supporting people with complex early-life trauma and learning disabilities. Ideally, your background will include community-based settings such as supported living and/or residential care. Knowledge of working within a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework would be an advantage.

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting staff within the package. This includes supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and promoting best practice. You will work closely with the local Case Manager to uphold standards and improve this person’s quality of life.

We are looking for someone who is positive, approachable, and has a good sense of humour, while also remaining calm, resilient, and composed under pressure.

Key Duties:

  • To lead, coach, and motivate your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Follow agreed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans to improve quality of life and reduce behaviour of concern.
  • Collaborate to create and implement tailored support plans and contribute towards their ongoing review.
  • Collaborate in completing risk assessments, capacity assessments and other key support documents and contribute towards their ongoing review.
  • To develop and distribute the staff rota.
  • Induction of new support staff.
  • Supervision of staff including formal and informal supervisions, spot checks and mentoring.
  • Ensure your team have completed their required training.
  • Audit medication, support and finance procedures.
  • To be responsible for medication ordering, handling and ensuring compliance.
  • Contribute to out-of-hours (on-call) support.
  • Attend statutory training, team meetings and any other training as directed by management.
  • Work closely with your colleagues, families, external professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the Case Manager with recruitment of staffing.
  • Keep accurate financial records relating to staff and the person(s).
  • To organise and coordinate support delivery in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Case Manager.

The role will include the occasional sleep-in duty and some weekend hours.
