We are currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide support to a young male in his family home in Bath. L lives with his parents and 2 family dogs. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in offering companionship, reassurance, and emotional support, while facilitating community engagement and fostering independence.

L is a kind and caring young man with a fantastic sense of humour. He can communicate well and enjoys lots of activities. He thrives at college where he learns life skills that he enjoys putting into practice at home too. He is very artistic and has made some beautiful creations at a forge. He enjoys sports and walking his dogs as well as a bit of Pokémon. L has a diagnosis of ADHD and autism and can become anxious, so someone who can be empathetic and reassuring but also willing to encourage him to participate in new activities would fit this role.

L attends college and you will support him to attend and on occasions be on hand in case of any overwhelming situations throughout the day; therefore, it is essential that you are a car driver for this role. Outside of college, this fulfilling position involves supporting and encouraging L in pursuing his interests, particularly in animals, staying active and playing Nintendo Switch.

The successful Support Worker will show great initiative and enthusiasm, be able to plan ahead and organise activities, be proactive and promote independence.

We are looking for someone willing to commit to 15 hour shifts plus sleep each week with the possibility of extra shifts for covering annual leave.

Benefits/Package:

  • Employee wellbeing scheme (including free face to face counselling, helplines and online support)
  • Employee Discount Scheme – Discounts on everyday items including shopping and fuel

  • Random Surprise Gifts of Kindness throughout the year!
  • In The Loop – Our Company Community App linking our teams and sharing experience
