About the Role
You’ll be supporting adults with:
- Learning disabilities
- Autism
- Behaviours that may challenge
Your role will centre around:
- Teaching and encouraging new life skills
- Supporting access to the community
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Helping individuals reach their personal goals
- Bringing creativity and fresh ideas into activities and support planning
This is a role for someone who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and approach challenges with positivity and empathy.
Who We’re Looking For
We need people who:
- Have experience in the care sector (experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism is strongly preferred)
- Are naturally caring, ethical and compassionate
- Bring energy, humour and warmth into their work
- Can adapt quickly and confidently
- Work well as part of a close-knit team
- Share our strong “family” values
- Ability to commit to full time hours, either 8:30-4 or 9-4:30 inclusive of occasional Saturdays to support our Saturday Brunch Club.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have business insurance (essential)
Because of the needs of the individuals we support, prior experience in similar settings is highly desirable.
