Procter Street are supporting a well-established civils contractor with the recruitment of a Contract Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking to take the next step in their career and move into a Contract Manager position.
The company delivers a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the North West, working across both the private and public sectors, with projects covering highways, infrastructure, groundworks and piling.
The Role
This is a predominantly operational Contract Manager position, so we are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong background in site delivery, project management and leading teams.
You will be responsible for overseeing projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Experience within civil engineering, highways, infrastructure, groundworks or piling.
- A strong understanding of site delivery and project operations.
- Experience managing teams and coordinating subcontractors.
- Good knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Experience working with clients and project stakeholders.
- A working knowledge of NEC contracts.
- A commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, variations and change, although strong commercial experience is not the primary requirement.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong operational and civil engineering background rather than someone who is primarily commercially focused.
This role could be particularly well suited to an experienced Site Manager, Senior Site Manager or Project Manager who is ready to step up into a Contract Manager position.
You should have:
