We work with clients, contractors and developers in a range of sectors including Energy and Power, Highways, Nuclear and Utilities to name a few, to support with a smooth delivery of projects.
In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Cost & Project Management business requirements. These projects can range from extensions for small contractors, through to large civils projects, high value buildings to specialist energy contractors and more.
Other duties include:
- Managing costs on a wide variety of projects
- Offer strategic guidance to clients, including prioritising spending, outsourcing to subcontractors
- Prepare budgets and estimates and manage onsite costs
- Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- Performing risk and value management and cost control
- Advise on procurement strategy
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a civil engineering background, and ideally has worked on a variety of infrastructure schemes.
Requirements:
- Planning and time management skills
- Good understanding of civils and construction, ideally with pipeline experience
- Knowledge of NEC3 and 4
- Problem solver with construction knowledge
- IT skills - competent Microsoft packages included Excel and Project
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
