We work with clients, contractors and developers in a range of sectors including Energy and Power, Highways, Nuclear and Utilities to support the smooth delivery of projects.

The role involves:

  • Production of programmes for the Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning activities for each project from inception through to completion.
  • Liaising with construction and site personnel to update programmes.
  • Reviewing the progress of programmes on a regular cycle and assessing, producing management insight and reporting.
  • Implementing change control processes, including early warnings, compensation events and project managers' instructions as required.
  • Detailing the effects of change events on the approved programme and reporting back to the business areas.
  • Co-ordinating inputs and outputs into/from the programme from the construction team and leading on programme development and timely updating, analysis and critique.
  • Reviewing construction progress with input from the construction team, including the supply chain, updating programmes and producing MI/MO reports as necessary.
  • Creating earned value/project reporting encompassing resource & cost loading with associated CPI & SPI reporting.
  • Highlighting areas of concern regarding construction progress and reviewing risks and mitigation measures with the construction and delivery teams.

What are we looking for?

  • HNC (Construction related) or equivalent.
  • Experience within the Utilities sector (highly desirable).
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of project controls, planning and construction activities.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of planning and controls tools and techniques, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
