As a consultancy, no two days are the same. Our teams work across a broad portfolio of clients and frameworks, giving our people exposure to a variety of sectors, challenges, and opportunities. It’s a fast-paced, collaborative environment where ideas are valued, expertise is recognised, and people are empowered to make a real impact.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Bid Manager to lead and manage high-quality bid and tender submissions across a range of sectors and clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic bid leadership with strong writing and stakeholder engagement skills.

As Bid Manager, you’ll play a central role in securing new business opportunities and strengthening client relationships. You’ll work closely with directors, technical specialists, operational teams, and external partners to develop compelling, client-focused submissions that showcase the breadth of Procter Street’s expertise and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality bids, tenders, and framework submissions
  • Write, review, and refine compelling bid content that clearly communicates technical solutions, added value, and win themes
  • Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification and bid/no-bid decisions through to submission and post-submission feedback
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external partners to gather information and drive collaboration
  • Facilitate bid workshops, storyboarding sessions, and review meetings to ensure submissions are aligned, competitive, and client-focused
  • Develop tailored responses for public and private sector opportunities including frameworks, PQQs, SQs, and ITTs
  • Maintain and continuously improve bid libraries, case studies, CVs, and supporting collateral
  • Support wider business development activities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives across the business
  • Ensure all submissions are completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with brand and quality requirements

What are we looking for?

You’ll be a confident communicator and relationship builder with excellent writing skills and a strong understanding of the bid process. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively across multiple teams and sectors, managing competing priorities, and producing high-quality submissions that make a difference.

As well as:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience managing bids and tenders within the construction, infrastructure, engineering, or consultancy sectors (highly desirable)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate technical information into persuasive, client-friendly content
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills with the confidence to work closely with senior leaders and technical teams
  • Experience managing complex tender processes and coordinating multidisciplinary contributions
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes including frameworks, SQs, PQQs, and ITTs
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities with a proactive and solution-focused approach
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced consultancy environment
  • Experience working across multiple sectors or clients would be highly advantageous
