Procter Street is proud to be partnering with a fast-growing, forward-thinking infrastructure delivery business to appoint a Head of Electrical—a pivotal leadership role with full ownership of building and scaling a new electrical division. This is a rare opportunity to create, shape and lead an electrical function from the ground up within an already established and expanding multi-utility organisation. If you’ve previously built or significantly developed an electrical business unit and are ready to take full strategic and operational control—this role is for you.
The Opportunity:
- You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end development of the electrical division—covering compliance, operations, team build, and commercial growth.
- From securing NICEIC/NAPIT accreditation, to mobilising delivery teams and driving revenue, you’ll play a critical role in positioning the business as a serious player in the electrical and EV infrastructure market.
Responsible for:
- Leading accreditation and compliance (NICEIC / NAPIT, BS 7671, Part P)
- Acting as QS or implementing a compliant QS structure
- Building electrical policies, procedures, and technical standards
- Recruiting and developing a high-performing electrical team
- Delivering LV/HV works and EV charge point installations
- Managing inspection, testing, and certification processes
- Supporting tenders, pricing, and commercial strategy
- Developing supply chain and partner relationships
- Driving growth by embedding electrical capability into existing contracts
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience building or scaling an electrical division or business unit
- Strong commercial awareness (pricing, margins, cost control)
- Background in utilities, infrastructure, or construction environments
- Experience delivering EV infrastructure projects (domestic and/or commercial)
- Solid understanding of compliance and accreditation frameworks
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- Previous QS experience (desirable but highly advantageous)
Why this role?
- True ownership and autonomy to build a division your way
- Backed by an established business with strong client relationships
- Opportunity to lead in a high-growth EV and electrical infrastructure sector
- Strategic role with clear impact on business expansion and revenue
