Then apply for our Software Developer Internship at our P&G office in Newcastle, where you'll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting best-in-class IT solutions.

On this placement, you will be responsible for developing the front end of innovative applications. You'll focus on creating an optimal user experience for product design, development and testing, while emphasising a data-first architecture that maximises flexibility and integrates seamlessly with essential systems.

What to Expect

During your year-long placement you will get a first-hand experience of what a career in software development with P&G involves, and if it is right for you. You will be working on live business projects and expected to dive straight in and take the lead. During your projects you can expect to:

  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and data transformation workflows using Databricks.
  • Support the development of interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI.
  • Contribute to the design and development of AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Agentic AI frameworks.
  • Participate in data engineering, analytics, and AI development projects alongside senior team members.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation of data.

Job Qualifications

  • University students studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field graduating in 2028 with a placement year as part of their degree. We also welcome applications from students who are graduating in 2026, or who have already graduated.
  • Interest in leveraging IT to drive innovation.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities.
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills.

Right to Work

For our placement roles, you will need to provide your own right to work in the UK for the full duration of your placement without requiring sponsorship from P&G. Note, this will require your right to work permission to be valid between 1st July 2026 to 12th June 2027 for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

Start Date

This is a year-long industrial placement running between 1st July 2026 until 12th June 2027 and we expect you to be available for the full duration.
