Procter & Gamble (P&G) are a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable HGV Driver to transport goods efficiently and safely across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all road safety regulations.
Shift Schedule
4 shifts from 7, primarily Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required for weekend coverage. Shift start times are typically between 01:00am and 06:00am.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) safely and in compliance with all relevant traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to meet schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or any unexpected delays.
- Adhere to strict health and safety procedures at all times.
- Represent P&G professionally during all interactions.

Job Qualifications
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no Dangerous Driving (DD) or Drink Driving (DR) endorsements.
- Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) / CPC.
- Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Excellent knowledge of driving regulations, tachograph rules, and road safety procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and prolonged driving.
- A strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- References from previous employers (preferred).
