About our Reading Plant: From raw materials to finished products, our production facility is where innovation meets execution. Engineers and plant technicians work together to maintain efficiency, uphold safety, and ensure every product meets P&G's exacting quality standards - all whilst contributing to the bigger picture of delivering some of the most iconic P&G products like Gillette, Venus and Old spice! Our site is located close to the town centre and is served by motorway networks of M4 and M25 as well as the A33. We’re within 20 mins of Reading Central and Green Park railway stations and our site is served by buses that run every 10 minutes.
What To Expect
During your 12-month placement, you will get a first-hand experience of what a career in Engineering with P&G involves, and if it is right for you. You will be working on live business Engineering projects and expected to dive straight in and take the lead. Each intern receives a customised learning plan to ensure they get the right levels of coaching, mentoring, and training as they deliver their work. Responsibilities and Real Work from Day 1
You will be given specific projects and responsibilities working on real and live business challenges, just like a true P&G er.
Continuous training & coaching
You will work with passionate people and receive both formal training as well as day-to-day mentoring from your manager.

Full Time Role
Successful interns have the potential to secure a full-time position with P&G after graduation. As a 'build from within' company, our people start at entry level and progress through the organization. When we make a job offer, it’s with the expectation that you will grow into one of our future leaders, and to help you get there, you will work closely with skilled P&G veterans for mentoring and coaching at every step.
Job Qualifications
What We Look For:
- University students graduating in 2029 with a placement year as part of their degree.
- We also welcome applications from students graduating in 2027 or 2028 or those who have already graduated.
- Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities.
- Tell us what you’re proud of – be it playing a musical instrument or holding down a job alongside your studies.
- We want to get to know you during your application!
- Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles within your chosen field, as well as problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills.
Start date
The placement’s duration is from 5th July 2027 until 30th June 2028. We expect you to be available for the full duration.
Right to Work
For our placement roles, you will need to provide your own right to work in the UK for the full duration of your placement without requiring sponsorship from P&G. Note, this will require your right to work permission to be valid between 5th July 2027 until 30th June 2028 for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. P&G is legally required to ensure all candidates have the right to work in the UK from Day 1 of their employment. All applicants will therefore be asked to provide evidence of their right to work at the conclusion of the recruitment process as a condition of employment.
