Procter & Gamble (P&G) is a global leader in consumer goods, renowned for our iconic brands such as Gillette, Fairy, and Oral-B. We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Gillette team delivering new manufacturing equipment and process innovations, with a key focus on automated assembly machines and automation.
This role will specifically support the electrical engineering scope of Gillette’s Blades & Razors Manufacturing Equipment Globally. Whilst it’s based in our UK Gillette legacy site in Reading, you will have the opportunity to travel internationally based on business and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
The team you work in has hybrid working, usually onsite 3 days a week in Reading. However, there will be an expectation to be onsite daily when building equipment, validating, EO testing, etc. Travel (UK and International) is estimated to be around 25% of time on average over a year.

You will be responsible for electrical design, software development and managing the build, as well as installation/qualification of relevant equipment for our worldwide manufacturing sites.

You will work with cross function teams to test and design new equipment and technologies to manufacture the latest design from R&D as well as improving and upgrading existing processes.

You’ll create, review and approve standard electrical design documents and drawings.

You’ll verify equipment installations to meet the regulatory requirements throughout all phases of project, including but not limited to OSHA, NFPA, CE, UL, etc.

You’ll develop and troubleshoot controls system architecture via Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and other industrial control devices.
