P&G is a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), making some of the world’s best-loved brands like Gillette, Fairy and Oral. Here in Manchester, we've been making P&G products at our Trafford Park site for the past 90 years and after some exciting new investment are looking to recruit motivated technicians to join our Pampers manufacturing team.

Job Description

Technicians will join a multi-skilled team responsible for operating, maintaining, daily running and troubleshooting of complex process technologies on our production lines. They contribute to producing high quality branded products that improve the lives of consumers. The plant operates 24 hours a day and our technicians work a 12.5‑hour shift pattern, including days and nights.

We are looking for individuals who show leadership potential, embrace change, and who can demonstrate working effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality results. Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production lines and complex process technologies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work 12.5‑hour shifts (days and nights) on a 24hr plant.
  • Collaborate with cross‑shift and cross‑function teams.

  • Salary:
    5‑day shift pattern – Starting pay with shift premium: £38,588.68; Level 2.1 pay: £40,876.68.
    7‑day shift pattern – Starting pay with shift premium: £42,280.68; Level 2.1 pay: £44,568.68.
  • Flex4Me: Annual £1,200 allowance for wellbeing.
  • Generous Pension: Company contributes double your contribution up to 14% of pensionable pay.
  • Annual Leave: 25 days (plus bank holidays), increasing to 30 days with service.
  • 1‑4‑1 Shares: Company purchases a share for each share you buy, up to 2.5% of salary (£150/month).

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and deliver maximum contribution.
