Procter & Gamble (P&G) is one of the world’s leading companies in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) making globally admired brands such as Gillette, Pampers, Fairy and Oral-B. This is an opportunity to be part of a robust and hard-working team delivering the base operational and customisation business at Skelmersdale Distribution Centre. As an Operations System Coordinator on site you will be responsible for all areas of systems work required to ensure Operations runs smoothly with no outages. You will work closely with the shift team leader, providing accurate business updates for the receiving area.
Note this role is initially based on 2 cycle shift pattern over 5 days (Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00) with a Competitive Salary alongside an additional shift pay of £273 per month.
What you’ll do:
- IWS & Standardized Work: Execute processes as per the standard with ability to challenge a process through root cause analysis and to update/create a standard.
- Identifying complex losses and contribute to elimination efforts via IWS: You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across the receiving area and routinely participate in loss elimination exercises.
- Fundamentals Ownership: Demonstrate perfect execution of site fundamental results on Safety, Quality and Internal Controls. You will be required to record and document any fundamental outages in these areas.
- Business Results Ownership: Ownership of a specific area and deliverables (Receiving & Loading) and ownership of the end of shift expectations & cleaning standards of an area.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across all departments to ensure the daily business is delivered on time and a clear handover provided to the oncoming shift.

- Competitive Compensation and Benefits: Every P&G employee’s salary is reviewed annually and therefore there is ample opportunity for future salary increases. On top of your Competitive Salary there is an additional shift pay of £273 per month.
- Generous Pension: The Company will contribute double the amount you contribute towards your pension savings, up to a maximum company contribution of 14% of your pensionable pay.
- Annual Leave: You will start with 25 days annual leave entitlement (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service up to 30 days.

- Problem Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with ability to eliminate or simplify non-value-added work.
- Decision Making: Proven capability to understand key business needs and make the right decisions for the business and escalate internally and externally if required.
- Leadership: Very strong personal accountability & ability to lead a small team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with team members and external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: solid technical skills and experience of SAP/TMS/Maestro or similar and solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Multi-Tasking Ability: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Personal Accountability: Proactive approach to personal development and required to contribute to one of the following areas - First aider, Working @ Height, Fire Rep, Safety Rep.
