We are a leading company in the manufacturing of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) making some of the world’s best loved brands like Fairy, Ariel, Lenor, Oral-B and Pampers. We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Pick Operator to join our London Distribution Centre located at P&G London Plant, West Thurrock.

The Manual Picking Operator role is assigned with the task of ensuring the required manual picking activities are timely executed to deliver volume for the outbound customer loads. Responsibilities involve manual handling, picking products tasks to deliver the best service to customers, adhering to safety protocols, raising near misses and quality alerts. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the Manual Picking Process, ensuring that manual picking activities are executed in a timely manner to meet the volume requirements for outbound customer loads, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Operate MHE to move pallets and materials effectively.
  • Understand expectations on foundations (Safety/Quality/Internal Controls) and adhere to them.
  • Promptly raise near misses, quality alerts, and report standards outages to maintain operational integrity.
  • Identify and document all types of defects in the work area, contributing to a safe and productive environment.
  • Maintain workplace standards and equipment in the Picking area to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Complete all required safety, quality, and internal control training with 100% completion.
  • Manage personal breaks, ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Communicate clearly with all department members, foster teamwork and reliability.
  • Support business needs by performing additional tasks in area such as de-wrapping, bailings, makeups or stock checks.

Please note this is a shift-based role (Days and Nights). Shifts are 12-hours and you will work on average 40 hours a week across a two-week period.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid FLT license/certification.
  • Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in operating various forklift types.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations.
