Procter & Gamble (P&G) is a leading company in the manufacture of fast‑moving consumer goods, making some of the world’s best‑loved brands like Gillette, Fairy, and Oral‑B. We are looking for motivated, high‑calibre electricians to join us at our London (West Thurrock) site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, including installation, rebuilding, commissioning, and repair.
  • Assist with all service calls while on shift.
  • Work closely with the operating area team you’re assigned to, providing insights to ensure business goals are met.
  • Proactively assist operations technicians with troubleshooting and emergency repairs, and support and learn mechanical maintenance skills and tasks as necessary.
  • Maintain personal safety and help ensure the safety of other team members and contractors, enforcing safety rules, reporting near‑misses, and keeping the workplace clean.
  • Safely troubleshoot issues by reading logic in PLCs and other control equipment, using diagnostic tools, and addressing problems related to production machine coordinated drives.
  • Maintain the SAP Plant Maintenance System, completing work orders and documentation in both computer‑based and paper formats.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification of ONC/C&G Part III or HNC/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent time‑served apprenticeship.
  • Proven electrical experience in process or production environments, preferably in FMCG or similar industry.
  • Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley preferred), SCADA systems, instrumentation and 415V motor‑control circuits.
  • High level of accountability with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
  • Willingness to suggest and implement changes that improve systems, work processes and equipment reliability.
  • Fluent communication in English.
