Contract: Permanent of Contractor through Ltd Company Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor working for a company that lacks progression opportunities? Our client is offering a clear progression path in to a Commercial Manager role, and the autonomy for you to come in and shape how the Commercial Team looks. Our client is well established in the Civil Engineering sector, and boasts a diverse array of projects across the North-West. The successful candidate will play a key role both on-site and head office activities, contributing to the growth and success of their projects. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all aspects of projects costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets. * Implements precise measurement and valuation processes for all aspects of groundworks projects. * Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. * Provide regular financial reports and updates on project financial status, whilst identifying any cost overruns and implementing corrective actions. * Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions and project-related documentation. What are we looking for? A background in the civil engineering sector is essential for this role, ideally in groundworks civil engineering subcontracting. As well as: * Proven track record in project quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management and contract administration. * Strong understanding of NEC . * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Detail-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
