Overview
In this role you will support procurement requirements across Maintenance, Operations, and Site Service at Christina Lake North, working with internal stakeholders to source and expedit external goods and services. You help optimize purchasing policies, execute sourcing processes, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and compliance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and align procurement activity with country policies and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Source and expedite external goods to meet operational needs within approved channels
- Guide stakeholders on purchasing policies and practices
- Execute RFx processes (development, evaluation, award, execution, closeout)
- Collaborate with SSC to resolve pricing, PO, and GR/IR issues
- Coordinate with warehouse for timely goods receipt and KPI goals
- Maintain supplier relationships and liaison between stakeholders and suppliers
- Support category management and sourcing initiatives
- Contribute to cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with SCM Policy and Codes of Conduct
- Perform additional duties to support evolving needs
Key requirements
- Knowledge of Procure to Pay (P2P) lifecycle and SCM processes
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in SAP and ARIBA
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with focus on compliance and process improvement
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
