Proclinical is seeking a Technology Advisor to deliver expert, objective technical insight across all aspects of technology design and development. As a senior technical authority, you will support R&D leadership and the Senior Management Team, guiding key design decisions and helping translate cutting‑edge IP into scalable, commercially successful diagnostic products. This strategic role requires deep technical curiosity, exceptional engineering insight, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide in‑depth, product‑focused technical insights and advice across diagnostic platform development.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex engineering challenges, delivering robust, sustainable solutions aligned with user needs and product requirements.
  • Produce high‑quality technical documentation and communicate complex concepts clearly and simply.
  • Contribute to product development, process optimisation, and long‑term R&D strategy.
  • Role‑model excellence in technical execution and scientific rigour.
  • Ensure all technical activity meets relevant legal, regulatory, ethical, and industry standards, including performing risk assessments.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven success in developing and leading regulated diagnostic or medical device products, ideally involving complex instrumentation and consumable/cartridge‑based systems.
  • Experience translating new technologies into market‑ready products.
  • A detail driven, enquiring mindset with the ability to dive deeply into technical issues.
  • A PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (ideally Mechanical, Electronic or BioEngineering).

Working Conditions

Open to full‑time or part‑time candidates. Travel may be required between UK and US sites.
