Ensure precision and compliance-join us as a Quality Technician and keep laboratory operations running at the highest standards.

Proclinical is seeking a Quality Technician O1 to support laboratory operations within the animal health sector. This role focuses on specimen processing, quality assurance, and compliance within an ISO17025 environment. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to regulatory standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is an on-site position with rotating work hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks related to the processing and analysis of test specimens.
  • Safely lift and transfer laboratory samples and equipment up to 15kg (manual handling training provided).
  • Work in cold environments such as freezers or chilled storage areas, following health and safety procedures.
  • Log and scan samples into proprietary applications/databases and update task management systems.
  • Conduct initial quality controls, process sample data, and monitor data completeness.
  • Receive and catalogue lab supplies, including reagents and chemicals.
  • Perform in-house quality measurements and calibrate scientific equipment.
  • Prepare reagents and maintain stock levels of chemicals and reagents.
  • Adhere to good laboratory practices and participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Complete documentation for accountability and traceability in an ISO17025 environment.
  • Use light microscopes for specific tasks.
  • Manage customer stock levels and coordinate shipments between labs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when required.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with precision.
  • Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience working in a laboratory setting to ISO17025 standards.
  • Strong pipetting skills and comfort working with chemicals.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying and receiving information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Degree in Life Science or a relevant field.
