Senior Key Account Manager (Central/Western England and Wales)

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to launch innovative breakthrough treatments in a rare respiratory disease. The role is field-based covering Central/Western England and Wales and focuses on ensuring patients have access to new orphan products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote safe and effective use of product portfolio in accordance with the product label.
  • Provide relevant disease state and on‑label product information.
  • Interact with a wide variety of key stakeholders in the assigned geography.
  • Be accountable for performance at the territory level and contribute to regional and national team performance.
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet customer needs and address gaps in the care system.
  • Stay current on the rare disease environment; maintain exceptional in‑depth knowledge of the disease, local drivers, treatment and referral patterns, key account profiles, influence patterns, reimbursement, and barriers to optimal care.
  • Develop and execute account level business plans, including promotional activities for customers; forecast and track promotional budget.
  • Work collaboratively across functional areas to achieve common goals.
  • Act as a role model across all functions.
  • Facilitate coordination of internal and external resources to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in meetings and undertake projects as requested by management.
  • Assist in recruiting and training as needed.
  • Exercise sound judgment and adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies.

  • Excellent contextual selling skills with proven record of performance (consistently in the top 10% of sales force).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Typically requires relevant field experience in biotech/pharmaceuticals industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
