Proclinical is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and maintain strong relationships within the clinical diagnostics sector. In this role, you will focus on promoting products, retaining existing business, and identifying opportunities for expansion. This position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement and strategic planning to ensure success in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell products to achieve sales targets by increasing brand awareness and advocating for users.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through regular meetings and communication.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing a robust account governance process, including monthly KPI reporting.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally to foster loyalty and identify new business opportunities.
- Secure and retain the current customer base while identifying opportunities for value expansion and capital sales.
- Coordinate pre- and post-sales activities with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings to promote products effectively.
- Provide technical input for tenders and develop strategic plans to influence future opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing insights to management for strategic planning.
- Complete administrative tasks such as weekly reports, sales forecasts, CRM updates, and expense reports accurately and on time.
- Plan and manage travel within the territory efficiently, adhering to company guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Background in Clinical Sciences or a related field (Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred).
- Experience in sales or business development within clinical diagnostics, including managed service contracts and capital sales.
- Familiarity with HPLC HbA1c and/or urinalysis is advantageous.
- Strong network within HSE hospitals and private laboratory markets.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel, with occasional travel to the UK and Europe, including outside standard business hours.
- Ability to travel easily throughout North of UK.
