Proclinical is looking for a Director of Global Congress Strategy to lead the planning, development, and execution of congress activities. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver unified, high‑impact congress outcomes. Success in this position requires strong expertise in shaping scientific narratives, guiding sponsorship approaches, and ensuring all activities meet industry standards and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Align congress strategies and scientific narratives across multiple assets and therapeutic areas in partnership with Medical and Commercial colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of congress plans.
  • Provide strategic insights into content needs to help shape clear and compelling scientific narratives within broader organisational objectives.
  • Offer medical leadership and strengthen collaborations with professional societies, regional teams, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Review and refine congress KPIs to guide prioritisation and optimise resource allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, policies, and system requirements for both promotional and non‑promotional communications.
  • Share best practices across global congress activities to drive consistency and uphold high standards.
  • Stay current with industry developments and innovations in congress engagement to continuously evolve strategic approaches.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Background in science, medicine, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Experience in scientific communications and/or congress planning, with knowledge of pharmaceutical congress industry codes and practices.
  • Proven ability to work with Medical and Commercial teams to deliver aligned outcomes.
