Proclinical is partnered with a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation, who is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist, Analytical Development to join its Pharmaceutical Development team. This is a high-impact role supporting the development of innovative medicines across a range of therapeutic areas, including complex oral and injectable products.

Working within a multidisciplinary and international environment, you will play a key role in driving analytical strategy across the full product lifecycle, from early development through to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and design analytical development studies to support preclinical and clinical programs.
  • Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for drug products.
  • Define and implement control strategies for oral and injectable formulations.
  • Oversee stability studies and analytical testing for clinical batches.
  • Interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure robustness and reliability of results.
  • Manage external partners (CROs/CDMOs) and contribute to vendor selection.
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions (IND, NDA, MAA, IMPD).
  • Drive innovation in analytical approaches, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within cross-functional CMC project teams.
About You
  • Proven experience working in pharmaceutical analytical development.
  • Strong expertise in method development, validation, and transfer (physico-chemical and/or biotech methods).
  • Proven experience supporting regulatory submissions in Europe and/or the US.
  • Deep knowledge of analytical techniques for drug products (oral, injectable, and/or biologics).
  • Strong project management skills and ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Experience managing external partners and complex development activities.
  • Solid understanding of GMP/cGMP requirements.
Education & Skills
  • MSc or equivalent in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline (PhD preferred).
  • Fluent English required.
