Proclinical is seeking a Key Account Manager to support the commercial objectives of a rare disease portfolio. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic account plans to optimize patient care within your designated territory. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals to promote awareness of the product portfolio.
- Develop and execute territory and account-specific plans, including customer targeting and cycle planning.
- Analyze the territory to identify and support the development of diagnostic and referral centers.
- Drive awareness of patient identification, diagnostic testing, and referral pathways.
- Organize and manage local meetings in collaboration with Medical Affairs to enhance diagnosis and referral processes.
- Represent the company at local and national meetings and congresses.
- Lead and coordinate key projects and initiatives on behalf of the sales team.
- Serve as a communication link between key customers and internal teams.
- Provide coaching and share best practices with junior team members.
- Ensure timely reporting and maintenance of the CRM database.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with ethical standards and local regulations.
- Travel domestically and occasionally internationally as required.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Experience in biopharmaceutical sales and key account management, preferably in the orphan or ultra-orphan market.
- Proven ability to build strong professional relationships with healthcare providers.
- Effective communication and influencing skills across organizational levels.
- Strong business acumen and ability to navigate healthcare structures.
