Proclinical is seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst Intern to join a dynamic team focused on VAT compliance within the European region and other international markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance while working in a collaborative and professional environment. The position is based in Chester, with a hybrid work model (50% home, 50% office).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare VAT returns and other indirect tax filings (e.g., sales listings, purchase listings, Intrastat, SAF-T) using Excel and relevant tax preparation tools.
- Coordinate VAT submission approvals with internal stakeholders.
- Process VAT payment requests and archive documentation post-submission.
- Perform VAT and Sales General Ledger reconciliations, addressing issues and open items.
- Manage and assist with VAT compliance queries from the business.
- Support VAT audits by preparing necessary information and documentation.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with diverse audiences.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to build relationships with internal customers.
