Application Specialist (Biomedical Scientist)

• Field Based – South of England
• Must have car

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Application Support Specialist with a strong background in Tissue/Cellular Pathology, Histology, or Histopathology. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridisation (ISH), who are passionate about delivering exceptional support and training to both internal and external stakeholders.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert application, technical, and scientific support to customers and internal teams
• Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to case resolution
• Develop and implement sustainable solutions for technical support cases
• Deliver comprehensive customer training sessions, both remotely and on-site
• Conduct on-site support activities, including troubleshooting and workflow optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance

🧬 Required Expertise

• Strong foundation in Tissue/Cellular Pathology, Histology, or Histopathology
• Practical experience with IHC and ISH techniques
• Familiarity with automated staining platforms such as:
• Benchmark Ultra / Ultra Plus / XT
• Bond
• DAKO

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support cases simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset
