Proclinical is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a data cleansing and migration project. This role involves transferring engineering data from PDM to Siemens Teamcenter PLM using the SolidWorks SWIM interface. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in CAD data management, PDM-PLM systems, and engineering data migration.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, validate, and migrate engineering data from PDM to Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
  • Utilize SolidWorks and the SWIM interface to ensure accurate data transfer.
  • Review CAD files, metadata, part structures, and associated documentation to identify and resolve data issues.
  • Perform data cleansing activities to enhance consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and PLM stakeholders for migration planning and execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during the transfer process and validate migrated records.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, naming conventions, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain clear records of migration progress, issues, and resolutions.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a CAD Engineer or CAD Administrator role.
  • Strong knowledge of PDM and PLM systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter and SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with data cleansing, migration, or system transition projects.
  • Understanding of CAD file structures, metadata, and product lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of technical data.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
  • Educational background in design, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
